Opening Range based on time are static...though they are still widely used by many successfully.

In that sense any range is declared against another constant, which can be a variable, u can't define two variables simultaneously, one has to be function of another.
Please correct me if I am wrong

The concept of ORB is developed in the golden era of pit trading, now everything changed.

Ok the pit era was dominated by market makers and institutions. Best reference is Stedilmayers book. At that time the market makers are active at open and usually institutions came after some time of open, may be after the morning conference at their office to take their positions.

In his later works Stedilmayor says other time frame trades from the opening bell itself, not like in the past when he developed MP.

Toby Carbels ORB and IB of MP are same
