Toby Carbels ORB and IB of MP are same

Now a days volume have an U shaped curve, that is high at open and close area.

Volume is always skewed at open and close, so price distribution has importance

bumping this thread ,..!! As ORB is one of my personally tested out strategy which doesnt lootofy you like some strats which r being sold in the markets now adays ...!!

Though i wonder why people are buying it ,..??

Anyways , back to ORB..

ORB is one of the time tested and most successful trading system available in the markets. But as in this markets, nothing lasts forever. You always need to optimize and recalibrate ur strats.

The basic ORB, doesnt actually give u good shaped equity curve now adays (tested on past 2 years of Intraday data on NF futures.) But some tweaking does.

I would recommend to go through Toby Crabels book and just really try to understand it.

Put your own observations in coding. Apply proper filters and Boom...!! u will have an edge again...!!

Regards,..

(I may or may not post tweaks here, still backtesting.)
