Yes, we are yet to find reliable and fast data feed for Amibroker for our markets. Any of the data providers that are there in the markets at present are not able to exploit the full functionality of Amibroker. None of them I guess are able to make use of the RTQ function of Ami and then GFDL don't have time and sales data though they are the associates of the official data provider for NSE and also for Amibroker. I very much would like to see someone come out and rid us of this misery. I wish GFDL all the very best in this venture and hope to see them vindicated.

Is it possible to switch between platforms whenever we like or any restrictions are there ?

Thank you.

There is no restriction on platform switching. For example, you can start data in AmiBroker at 9:15AM, close it at 10AM and immediately start MetaStock and then again switch to AmiBroker at 11AM, install NinjaTrader at 1PM and start data in it, etc.. You will need to run the installer once in the beginning and select the charting platform(s) in which you want nimbleDataProPlus to be installed. Installation for each platform is a one-time process. Once installed, whenever you start those charting platforms, it automatically brings in the login window of our datafeed or if you are already logged in, it automatically starts the data as soon as charting application is started.

Currently we distribute realtime data of entire NSE Futures and Options Segment - we don't distribute data of NSE Cash Segment yet. Hence fulfilling your requirement is currently not possible. Yes - we do have plans to incorporate NSE Cash Segment but I can't tell you the exact timeframe for it.

We give you one more reason to celebrate. Now you can run nimbleDataProPlus in ALL supported charting platforms simultaneously. This means that you can keep charting platforms like AmiBroker, MetaStock, Advanced GET, etc. open and download data in all open charting platforms at the same time.

Notes :
1. During a session, nimbleDataProPlus downloads historical data of any symbol only once (unless it is deleted from nimbleDataProPlus Desk). So consider a scenario in which you have historical data of NIFTY-I in AmiBroker till 22.06.2011 so when you start AmiBroker on 23.06.2011, it will request and download data of only 23.06.2011 from our servers. Now if you start MetaStock after some time and create NIFTY-I as a NEW SYMBOL, it will download data of only 1 day - even if you set to download 30 days of history. You can overcome this problem by following either of the solutions below

A. Start MetaStock first and create NIFTY-I as new symbol and download its entire data. Then start AmiBroker and click on NIFTY-I symbol.
B. Before adding symbol in MetaStock, delete the symbol from nimbleDataProPlus Desk first. Then when you add the symbol in MetaStock, it will automatically download its entire data from server again.
C. Even if you forget to delete the symbol from desk and add NIFTY-I in MetaStock, you can delete NIFTY-I from Desk later and simply click on 'Refresh Data' in MetaStock to download its entire history.


2. Do not add same symbol in 2 naming conventions at the same time i.e. do not add NIFTY-I and NIFTY11JUNFUT (assuming current series is June 2011) at the same time. If you do so, it will stop data of the first added symbol and will continue downloading data only for latest added symbol.
