I have filtered the fundamental analysis stuffs from reminiscences of a stock operator and categorized them into certain broad sections. Here I am presenting those sections along with the respective quotes that fit into those sections.

Section -1 Money Markets
1.call-money rates went higher and prices of stocks lower, money loans,
2.the cliques used to lock up money by borrowing it or, rather, by reducing the amount available to Stock Exchange borrowers,
3.banking business appeared to be on the ragged edge of suddenly relapsing into conservatism. Intimate friends were now asked to pay off loans,
4.liquidity is crunching in credit market
Section -2 Dividend
1.announcement of a new issue of stock,
2.declared an extra dividend,
3.unexpected raising of the dividend rate,
4.directors of the Atlantic & Southern met and passed the dividend,
5.The stock went on a dividend basis,
6.the earnings justified an increase in the regular dividend rate,
7.Didn't insiders say there was nothing wrong and cry bear selling? Didn't dividends continue to be declared and paid?
Section -3 Pools
1.Reading bull pool,
2.Prentiss formed a pool and began operations in Pete Products,
3.all that you find that the public leaves it alone you may be sure that there is something wrong,
Section -4 Economy
1.We had all the things that no one else had for sale, and we were fast getting all the cash in the world.
2.I mean that the wide world's gold was pouring into this country in torrents. Inflation was inevitable, and, of course, that meant rising prices for everything,
3.Gold was pouring into this country through the huge purchases of war material,
4.strike which had already affected the movement of freight everywhere must affect wheat prices adversely,
5.A flood of gold was pouring into this country from Europe and the banks had to find ways of impounding it,
Section -5 Events
Washington's Birthday,
Section -6 Commodities
1.I would rather play commodities than stocks, business of the trader in commodities is simply to get facts about the demand and the supply,
2.there was not enough wheat in the world,
3.there was much more corn in the country than the price indicated,
4.whether there was any more July cotton for sale,
5.That led in time to an enormous surplus of raw coffee here,
Section -7 Insider info
1.the insiders had been worse than reckless in jacking up the price at a time when such an advance was not justified either by~the tone of the general market or by the company's earnings,
2.the group to which TT belonged had been suffering from very poor business and I couldn't see anything to bull those stocks on anyhow, even if the rest of the market were due for a rise, which it wasn't,
3.insiders in that stock, who never felt a moral obligation to keep the price up, were now buying the stock in the face of a declining general market,
4.The control of a prosperous and growing concern like the Imperial Steel Corporation is possibly more valuable to a banking firm than to individual investors,
5.Barnes saw the president of his bank, who kindly lent his syndicate three million five hundred thousand dollars,
6.too much stock held by too few people,
7.They became aware of the real condition of the company and they reduced their holdings of the stock,

Livermore used the term "basic conditions" instead of fundamental analysis.

My understanding of Call money rates as an economic indicator

Call money-money lent by a financial institution to another one. Certain amount of interest is charged. A rising interest rate indicates increasing demand in call money, which in turn suggests that there is lack of money among the institutions (the reason why they want loans).

Lack of money among financial institutions indicates they have lowered capacities of investing into financial markets which leads to a bear market

Call money rates are available in RBI website.

Now Upto seniors

Usually the 1st signs of an inverted yield curve developing (& longer term rates will eventually catch up) But volatile. A shorter & longer term G-Sec yield difference better.

Simply stated, when banks, pension funds and other financial institutions are having enough cash in their reserve, we will witness a bull market in stocks. And when they are having shortage in funds, we will witness a bear market.

Dear KKseal and others,is this assumption correct?

Fund cash holding is used as a (contrarion) sentiment indicator.

For banks Credit-Deposit ratio better.

In general, liquidity favors the bull. (What has happened in India - thanks to NAC-onomics- is liquidity- of the fiscal expansion kind- favored inflation rather than productivity The latter actually shrank The prime task of NAMO-nomics is to rectify this).
