A simpler solution for when market goes up is to just roll up your purchased calls.. Sell the now itm calls and buy new atm or otm calls. That is better than using a trail sl, as you will have locked a lot of the profits.

Adjusting legs costs money, transaction costs/spread etc, watch for it, any roll down or roll up for any strategy would hv cost , and the logic behind the so called "repair" has to be based on market reading.
