What you can move to the extended monitor is the browser tabs and not the programmes like AB or MS office !!!

You can move any window to the secondary monitor. Under Windows 8.1, try the Win Key + PgUp/PgDn combos to move a window between monitors.

I am not an expert. But I think I have a right to add more confusion to the existing scenario .
You may need a splitter card ! If you already have one , well , I have to think some more ideas to increase your pain . adios

Generally, a splitter card is required when all monitors require a precise same quality output- like in photo editing, graphics designing etc-where both monitors are connected through the same port.

In case of a trader, there is no requirement of that precision- he can connect one monitor to VGA port,another to DVI port and the third one to HDMI port.


Simply put, as many monitors as the number of slots on the graphics card.

Now, there are cards which can connect up to 8 (or may be more) monitors.
