I normally format my system as soon as I encounter such problems .ofcourse after taking a backup.

Its unlikely that its a RAM issue alone. Try MemTurbo (www.memturbo.com) and see your RAM usage after doing a Recover Ram routine. |

doubt it'll solve, looks more likely a hardware prob, ram or graphic driver conflict, as sk asked which OS you using ? xp ?
update your drivers... try driver magician

Try to clean dirt off the motherboard, also the Power Supply could be the issue. |
