Default Tablet Pc

Please suggest a good Tablet Pc ( which has the option of using touch instead of mouse ) , Good battery life+Dual core or Core 2+any other features you may think as special.
Thanks.

What is your intended use of the tablet.. These days the tablet market is heading the iPad way..

There used to be a thinkpad convertible tablet available in past. I dunno if it is still available in India.

True...Tablet pcs are all the same as iPad. Its mostly used for music, movies, games and surfing .
iPad is very good and leading the lot.

Also watch for HP Slate,Pioneer's DreamBook epad, lenova Lepad,Axon and many more to be launched shortly...
But it depends on ur usuage Bcos most of these will also follow iPad with few feature changes.
Samsung has just launched Samsung Galaxy Tab.....

Default mini mouse problem

For the past 3 months I was using mini mouse because of which my fingers are feeling extreme pain.I advise friends not to use it nott more than a few days.
So I want to reduce using mouse option as less as possible (even though now I am using regular mouse ).
I want to use the Tablet Pc for viewing charts ,placing orders via Odin diet and regular surfing .
I heard HP had one Desktop with a touch option.
Thanks for the replies.
(I heard Sony's is better than Kindle because allows only downloads from Amazon )

Never touch Sony with a bargepole. Quality is trash, its overpriced and service is pathetic.

Any users comment please, what I am looking for is that , occasional use of Tablet PC for trading when I am not at my workstation , say I am travelling. Will softwares like Tradestation/Ninjatrader etc will run fine in Tablet with no issues?

Which would be better, Tablet or Netbook..

These days tablets are of 2 primary types:

1. iPad like devices - These are thin lightweight tablets. These do not have a keyboard and are typically designed with a custom os. Most of these devices run a custom OS and you have a limited choice of applications. The iPad can run most apps designed for the iPhone & the iPod touch, so it is a good option. With iPads catching up in popularity, you can find enough reviews of iPads and all iPad like devices on the net to get a good idea of what to expect from one.

2. Notebook/Netbook type devices - Mostly these are regular notebooks or netbooks with a touch screen which can be turned around to fold over the keyboard. Almost all of them come with some version of Windows. These devices never picked up much. The big advantage of these devices is that they use regular Windows, but that is also a disadvantage, as most windows apps are designed for use with a keyboard & a mouse. This type of a device is your only bet if you want to run a trading terminal like ODIN or PIB. Look at these devices like a regular notebook, which can be used in a tablet format.

Default Dragon Speech Recognition

As Mr.Santosh said Hp touchsmart is a very good option.
so far I glanced at Toshiba and Fujitsu.
Have not seen Dell and Lenova.
Have to read a lot of reviews before deciding.
By the anyone tried Dragon Speech Recognition software ?
Please give a review.
