Sorry sir , I should have said earlier. Since I am having only one system running I have taken the wireless via wire and here I can get only BSNL broadband which ,with my experience ,is not stable. So I have Reliance wireless (not data card)through local guys
and a BSNL 3G datacard. Can anything be done ?( My system Celeron and no Router)
For getting a stable Airtel Broadband I have to shift my house to the City limits
which I am planning but it will take 3 months.
Thanks JJ sir for the immediate reply.

But I am afraid this may affect the settings or the net may face some problems
Any ideas ?

chk wireless signal strength,do a virus scan & also call ur broker as problem can be from his end too.....ask for other Broadcast server ip from him.....

Using airtel for 5 years now...

speed i would say is okk but the best part about them is the service. You call them and their will be at ur place by 30-45 mins. plus the area service ppl are very nice.

Prices depend upon area.. I live in residential area and pay 999..my father uses the same plan at office.(chandni chowk) and he pays 899.

I'm moving to turbo 150GB...4mbps till 150gb and 256 after that for Rs.2099. Sounds a neat deal.

Some of these new plans actually look attractive for a change.

I have been a airtel bb customer for a long time now and I am still a user, but I would not recommend going with Airtel now for these reasons:

1. Their unlimited plans are a joke. After you exhaust the download limit for a month, the current plans throttle your connection to speeds like 256kbps. That is not broadband. My current plan is 2mbps for first 100gb and then 1mbps for the rest of the billing cycle. I pay 3306 total per month for this plan. This is not available anymore.

2. Once your download speed is throttled by Airtel, they start showing you a stupid page in place of the site you planned to visit. This is both irritating and it also breaks down most automated apps which make use of http queries.

Reliance & BSNL both provide unlimited broadband plans w/o these stupid limitations. But the quality of service of both Reliance and BSNL is not upto Airtel's level. I would not recommend Tata Indicom for broadband unless that is your only option.

If you depend on broadband service for your trading, then a good idea would be to use the BSNL for heavy downloads and take up a cheap airtel connection as a backup.

The reliance netconnect is a great mobile service, but it does not compare to a decent quality dsl line. You will rarely get the advertized 3.1mbps downstream speeds and the speeds will vary depending on multiple factors.

I would suggest keeping your existing dsl line as primary connection and use the Reliance netconnect as a backup.
