Default SSD - Solid State Drives

hi

SSD makes HD access reasonably faster but why do you want pay extra bucks ?
What will you do with SSD ?It is required for online gamer only.

not aware of current changes in HW world.

thx

Actually gaming is one field where SSD does not help much.

SSD's faster access rate makes it a good use for regular computer use. SSDs increases speed everywhere. Try to compare the performance of the same system with a SSD in place of a HDD, while keeping everything else same. The SSD system will feel way way faster.

A primer on SSDs here too: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2404260,00.asp

You can chose not to use SSD on your regular computer. I have been using them on all my computers since the past 4 years and have been enjoying faster computers.

The thing is simple, rather than spend a lot of money on the latest greatest CPU, you are better off using SSD to get a faster computer.

This is not the same as getting bloomberg data or using ECC ram on your desktop.

There must be some reason why every high end desktop and laptop these days comes with SSDs.

Actually ecc ram for a desktop is a waste of money. Mostly you will also end up with a slower system for which you pay 2-3x more than what you pay for a desktop with regular ram.
