Default Is there anyone?

hello friends. this is my first post on this forum. from last 3/4 months i am trading live on an another forum. posted around 80-100 live day trades with around 70% success rate. here is the link day trading for fun. - Page 27. though i am not here to show my abilities. i feel very sad to see that not a single senior member/moderator of that forum joined me for some healthy discussuion. though got 2-3 cheer up message from very newbie members. i posted a message to know about flag pattern. but again i did'nt got a single reply. they are very eager to know about some complicated indicator set-ups. they are the fast to show their ability on their preferred subject. though i didn't see a single thread where they are making money consistantly. they just like to talk about their hi fi funda. but no, no simple approach they are looking for. not even they care about it & also do not want to give their support to anyone who can actually do it. i just do not want to continue my live day trade journal on any forum. but i just want to continue my journey to acquire knowledge.

my 1st query to this forum: i want to trade flag pattern. is it fair to build a trading method based on this particular pattern. i just want to know your valuable opinion on it.

regards,

I would refrain to comment on activities on other forums as indiTraders contain real traders. We spend our energy more in improving our trading.

The disadvantage with this approach is that it's very difficult to define exactly what constitutes a flag to actually test if it worked or not. Questions such as:
1) What % retracement is required to be fulfilled? This % retracement again depends on the time frame used and the characteristics of the particular instruments.
2) What is the minimum and maximum time period for the formation?
3) How fast should the succeeding breakout occur?

These are more or less subject to subjective inferences and where there is subjective judgement, there's also hindsight bias

The first step will involve making the rules objective
