Cornering this space for some 'junk' post based on any random thought/work, mainly MP but technically - its source might be any site/blog/books/article/vids - whatever i get time to work in weekend and post.

It was start of MP learnings....TPOs, value area, IB, RF...all new terms fascinates much...they were ( infact i should correct are ) as promising as any other traditional tech. analysis tools....unfortunately many of us ( i think all who enetred ...) could not enter in TA world with MP as first chapter. Perhaps with initial thrust, we might have read book/s on MP ( here for eg MOM ) within a very short span of time ( short span for me was 4-5 months.......probably for many would be 1 week...). What was the process of reading and learning........this way -

Chapters read once ( or twice ) and simultaneous search of contents described in chapter made in live mkt. Naturally almost we all easily found happenings, success and failure of contents. With failure of contents, we moved to next advance chapter assuring ourself that much is still to come in further chapters, so be patience. This goes on till some end of book...we found new things, they seems to work some time...some time not...and if not we moved forward. It does not mean we learned nothing as everything fails at some point, after all we can apply MP with our old TA learned... it will be definately an edge ( another hope ...its not joke...im serious about it..).

Purpose of this post is not to talk ones pyschology...neither to debate what works and what not and how. Till 3 months back i was in same process above described...and till date had to complete some last chapters in MOM, but with fancy i again started reading MOM from starting. Believe me guys ( and new entrants in MP ), a neat and clean TPO chart is as powerfull and capable as any other hocus-pocus type AFL chart is, for One perfect trade of day....same rotation factor and concept of timeframe and many other gems are killing in second reading ( i had to think...am i a dumb...). One will start trading on TPOs itself....no need of any thing else.

So,make a fresh clean, good looking TPO chart ,feel yourself running like horse with TPOs ( kuchh jyada ho gaya ), and Reset to Zero.

About the book my one argument is/was always that, Dlaton didnt emphasis on the volume, at the start of the book u start believing its three dimensional that iTs price-time-volume, but later u find its mostly price and time, sure there is inventory talk and much emphasis on that but at end author says, dont worry, if u dont have volume chart then look at excess(THIN) zone and thick zones on price-time profile, where there is thickness, guess that volume is higher, when the profile is narrow he says volume is less there. Two different thing that volume is high or less judging by shape of profile and judging actual distribution of profile, bid-ask distribution of volume is such a thing. We cant help but think that price-time distribution has more universal appeal than price-time-volume distribution ?

Sir, i have been meaning to learn MP for quite some time now. Could you please recommend (preferably attach) an ebook for a beginner like me. (Will read sitting in office)

Also, i hear people say that MP will help you understand market better, but don't expect to trade based on MP alone. So Basically, MP will filter the trades for good. How true is that ?

I have some doubts over volume data being delivered to us retailers.

See Market delta chart

Value of time period x will be eg. 3000

After some time volume of same x period will be different
' after that time period has elapsed''

Why should this volume of a particular time period change
after that time period has elapsed

Just check for yourself in Market Delta

I find then volume to be of litltle use

Yes, observed the same in past, but its MD issue not data, since i observed the same issue working on ascii data real time, saw the ascii file, no changes there ( they dont correct the past data for sure, as i exported the data file from md and checked with ascii file, no changes ) i think its resolution setting of MD, if we get a lot bigger foot print MD change the setting ( auto-mode)so new bar should more visible in the process chances r some past foot-prints get dwarfed.
