investigate Decision Process using MP

There's quite a lot of information on MP however a structured approach is needed to actually use it effectively (just like any other method). I will try to breakdown the process here so it's practically useful in daily trading.

Basically the entire process can be broken down into three categories.
  1. Longer Term Overlay
  2. Daily Market Profile
  3. The Developing Day

I will start in the reverse order i.e. The Developing Day and build to the longer term context later.

The Developing Day obviously starts with the Open

Now here are the categories to consider for that.

The Open
  1. Opening Bias
  2. Expectation (Opening Call)
  3. OPEN TYPE
  4. Above Close - Bias UP
  5. Below Close - Bias DOWN
  6. Above POC - Bias UP
  7. Below POC - Bias DOWN
  8. GAP UP
  9. GAP DOWN
  10. Above the Previous Day High
  11. Below the Previous Day Low
  12. Open outside the PDVA but within the PD Range
  13. Open within the Previous Day Value Area

Now, simply knowing them isn't enough, it's important that one has either good experience watching them in real time so as to use the information properly or one must have compiled stats to know how and when they are useful.

Next I will cover the Open in more detail and then the Initial balance, the regular session and finally the closing session.

Here are the few subcategories within the Open.

1. Opening Bias

This can playout in three ways and can be analyzed using the opening bar on a OHLC chart.
  1. Buyers Control
  2. Sellers Control
  3. Two Timeframe

I can post a chart of each type if there are doubts.

Then we have the Open type itself, ofcourse this is well covered in MP subject matter.

Types of Open
  1. Open Drive
  2. Open Test Drive
  3. Open Rejection Reverse
  4. Open Auction

Next will cover Gaps and how the open relates to VA and previous day levels.

Visuals treats would be more interesting.
p.s.- it would be quite clear to those having enough screen experience.
