some time its for security reasons, in case of war or calamity on national exchange then other terminals should hold the fort and avoid chaos.

It's true.

Test of new technology and also the sign of whats coming next for we traders. Please I dont want to trade on saturdays frequently. Hopefully this is just for testing new technology , not for testing interest of traders for trading on weekends.

Thanks for the explanation,Alex. Otherwise terms like "horizontally scalable architecture" and "distributed processing concept " were way above my head.
