Thumbs up Will pay RS. 5000 for Utility that feeds stock data (tick) into MOTIVEWAVE

I need to build a utility that feeds stock data (tick) into MOTIVEWAVE (http://www.motivewave.com/download.htm) at real time. MOTIVEWAVE is a charting application. It has an api (http://www.motivewave.com/support/sdk.htm). I am not sure if the api exposes functions that could be useful for this purpose.

I have a utility that collects data from NOW terminal. It is called RTDMan made by Mr.Josh of Traderji. For backfill NOWVwapBackfill will be used. This data is to be fed into MotiveWave.

MOTIVEWAVE is on 15 day trial along with data services from some vendors. Let me know if you are interested.

Ok pay rs.7000 for this month and then pay again and again every month. Thats what I want to avoid. When I have Tick data why do have to pay again?

You dont have tick data. What you get from the terminal is not the same as what you can get from a authorised vendor.

If you are ok with incorrect tick data, then why bother with tick data?

How is it different? Tick data, as i understand, is a snapshot of all the trades that occurred during the tick duration (whatever is the tick duration set by exchange), Right? I can understand that there may be some difference between what the vendor provided data and what is given by the terminal but can it be Jameen Aasman ka farak? Also who will decide what is the correct Tick data? Maybe the data from terminal is the right one.
I am making the above argument being fully aware of the gibberish data produced by the terminal in the first 5 minutes of the day. Having said that my model can tolerate the tick data given by the terminal so I want to go with that.

Terminals dont get tick data feed from the exchange. They get some data that may or may not miss ticks. The data feed for the terminal is used to display prices on the market watch window and to fill the market depth window. It is not for doing studies that requires somewhat accurate tick data.

Try to compare the data that you scrape off a terminal feed with the data that you get from a proper tick data vendor and then see the difference for yourself.
