I am using Kaspersky, without any major issue. Good antivirus. Block some sites, but it depends where we browse. It make large temporary files, sometimes 3 Gb space may be occupied by temp. files. Overall very good protection.

Quick Heal. First time around 1200 later on 900 per year. Very good performance. Dont have any complaint in last 18 months. Earlier I was getting frequent raids by so many Torzan looking creatures.

from my extensive experience i recommend "antivir" by avira its low on system resources and best detection rate,second choice is "NOD32" its also low on system resources and nice protection. all other antiviruses mentioned here like "bitdefender" it detects many positive false also it sometimes can't remove the virus even after detecting it,"kaspersky" takes huge time to scan your disk.mcfee and norton are bloatwares, zonealarm has also become way too heavy in system resources.oh by the way, no antivirus can protect you from visiting shady sites,or if you are using Internet explorer for surfing.

Some Controversial observations ...  1. I don't find Net Protector and Quick Heal in the list. It seems they hate to note anything made in India??? 2. Norton at No. 4! -- Interesting! One of my rich friend once told me a success story--> He started uninstalling Norton 4 a.m. in the morning and he successfully uninstalled it from his laptop at 6 p.m. on that day!! He was really proud of his achievement that day!

these reviews are biased i can tell you that much,there is no change in top antivirus as "bitdefender" for past 4 years.

Just using Avira for last 2 years! Used free AVG and "non standard" AVG before.
Left AVG as it gives me ad`s prompting upgrades! Avira is Free and good to protect! Caches most bugs and kills them! Best free disinfectant!

same here..gd performance..no problem so far ..using for more than yr now..around 2500 Rs(or 1700 Rs not sure) for 5 PCs for 3yrs.
