Generally nobody ever throws the certificates - they keep it - thinking at some time this co could be revived or just a small glint of hope that they may get something in return for this.

Same story at my end too ... I have many a scrips in physical format which are shares purchased long time back in private placement or from secondary market or given as company demerged etc but are not listed on any stock exchange.

Some of these companies are operational and send regular Annual Reports, Notices etc and some Dividends too!!

But alas I cannot sell them since they are Unlisted. Now what does one do with these ...

Bro for that there exist another mkt except primary and secondary
In delhi many broker and subbroker regular trade in them and buy sell for zero to hero I had sitapur plywood take at 1.75Rs only on DSE long back and few mnths earlier a broker told me he can take it in 57Rs reason only he knows and I sold them all of my share But all are not so lucky like me some preferencial share are in mkt at dirt cheap rate in hope one day those will list in mkt and can have good profit

True ... these shares are being bought for that reason only .. or for takeover purpose too .. buy at dirt cheap from public and take over company ... liquidate company and sell land holding, assets and make cool 4-5 crores in the process ..

The shares I have are not bot now to make killing .. they were bought ages back when they were traded .. most probably my Grandfather or father in his earlier years of trading ...

still lying with me so I thought to make some $$$$$$$$ ...

Jo aaye ... something is better than nothing ..

Also have Frick India 200 shares. Got an offer @ 175/- per share. I have put counter @ 325/-. Waiting for the reply.

When someone asks for 50 you should ask 4*50=200/share
Then you can settle around Rs.100/share. Besides, if someone had a budget of Rs.100/share he would definitely as it for Rs.50 or lower

Yeah, advertising costs much. Not worth it. You may not even get responses.
