In my one pc , i did not updated data for that Saturday (small session on nse), this is the reason these stocks are not coming in metastock scan even in Keystocks-lite probably may not come with normal data (though not checked). So it is issue of data not software

I do realise that all NR21 shall also be NR7 ! There will be more trades in NR7 ! Normally the NR21 bar range shall be lower than NR7 range !
Main thing is we are looking for a Range expansion after a sustained narrowing of the same. So does NR21 score over NR7 in terms of results???

You know me very well , even if you criticizes me , i will say

Your observation is quite true, only reason why i prefer NR21 above NR7 scan is scan results are less and eventually whipsaws are lesser in compare of NR7.

I am not looking for more trades, since during market hours that makes trading tougher , i just want to concentrate on 3-4 stocks under this set up daily.

You have metastock and can confirm the difference of results between NR7 and NR21 in any high liquid stock or in Nifty, that might help me and every one here.

In next versions i am planning to include scan by which user will be able to scan according to his wish from NR4 to NR 200

Ashish, Did you by any chance compare the results for any given period for both NR7 and NR21 in any stock with same set of rules for entry exit Sl etc?
I, in the past did have a look at charts with NR7 and NR12 even NR15 (never NR21) and did not find any significant difference....ofcourse never analysed it, just eyeballed with NR's marked !

Yes sir, i back tested with Target and SL of 1 % from entry price for both nr7 and nr21 , results were much better in nr21. You can check at own too since my back test was in very crude manner. It will help us.

And reason why i chosen 21 only instead of 24 or any other range is just because 21 is lucky number to me, no other reason

Which stock did you analyse and for which period?

I wasnt much convinced about NR7, frankly did not persue it much, as I could not make "trading rules" for this Set Up of NR7 ! Will love to have a look at a comparison of NR7 and NR21, maybe do it myself !

If i tell you on which stocks , then your results will biased .
It will be much better if you back test on any 5 stocks out of top 50 mostly trades stocks including nifty.(but please avoid OMC)

Period can be anything may be last 1-2 years

Dear Aashish appreciate your crusading spirit. You keep on doing something or the other. All the best.
