Isn't he the pitchfork guy? Try linear regression channels instead or as a comparison.

It is a common misconception about Pro alan andrews that he is "pitchfork guy",if u gone through his original work u will note he never use term "pitchfork" .He use Pivots, median lines and associate course line to predict trend change ,trend continuation . By using "pitchfork" in isolation can not show the power of professor's work.

My understanding with Andrews applications are based on my practical observations . I don't claim to have read all the available literature though.

My observation number two--

If the price is respecting Medianline even before point 2 then probability of
price correction to median line after point 3 are much more possible.

Example Banknifty.

While observing the Bank nifty chart I found one interesting thing. "schiff median line".I have found when price make a Major P after a trend/congestion most of the time schiff ML can capture the new trend ,Help to identify P3, even P5. where regular Ml fail.
