Rather then coming up with Fancy Idea.. I know 2 people how mortgaged their home and made decent money in trading Agri Commodities.
The good thing about them,
1. They were street smart.
2. worked with Commodity house. A less known as Kunvarji here in Ahmedabad.
3. Not member of any forum or taken Fancy OFA, Mkt Profile classes.
4. "Risk 2% of total capital in any trade" - was alien to them.

What they did is simple thing.
1. Bought castor from farmers and sold Next month Fut. on Exchange. After all expenses and no discount brokerage. they were making 12-15% on their capital invested. Those in mumbai, might know abt such product.

I am using an algo with just near 50% hit rate and its working wonders, no need to take loan, just a bit more time required to reach 1 crore.

Well its not about hit rate anymore, actually to stand and sustain the drawdown is vital.Undercapitalised trading is not ok.

In tht case why not take loan & reach 2crs in same time? System is same More input more output. (Happen to smell your system a bit With that you won't get usual broker leverage in many cases Plus it's time bound)

I just wonder........ May be I am thoroughly wrong or I am less informed or may be I am too dim witted to understand this concept ..........

But my doubt is .........

Why do such concepts come up for discussion near the top of bull markets only?

That is what I liked to point out in the original post.

If you read the actual article, it was the kind which you see when markets are nearing tops. The kind of time when everyone thinks that the stock market is a good place to invest. And that whatever is the current theme driving the bull market will be on for a long time.

Interesting part is that in current market everyone is very skeptical about hitting a market top and no retail traders acting like stock gurus.

That is not the point Many make more money in bear mkts Thing is whether you have the confidence to have enuf returns to cover your payback commitment.

And businesses do it all the time when the going is good (& theydo have REAL downturns Can't make money both ways).
